From the LEGO animated series, the Jedi Scout Fighter is a great looking set. I love the way LEGO have utilised the shapes they are able to create and it makes the set look fantastic. It measures 36X25X8cm, costs $59.99 and includes 490 pieces. The set includes 3 minifigures; Jek-14, an Ithorian Jedi Master and an RA-7 Protocol as well as an Astromech Droid. There are only 2 weapons with this set that are a blue and a green lightsaber. The fighter itself has a opening 2-piece cockpit. The front section is for the pilot and the back one is for the rear gunner. Each one has a nice seat and a console piece. There are 3 pairs of non firing blasters throughout the build; 2 at the front, 2 by the side of the cockpit and 2 on a rotatable turret at the back of the fighter. Also, on top of the fighter, is a pair of spring-loaded shooters. At the back is 2 big engines that have fold out wing flaps that add some extra detail to the model. Finally, the panel at the back with the turret on opens and reveals space for a storage tray. On this tray are 2 clips for the lightsabers, space for thermal detonators and 2 storage crates containing the holocrons Jek is trying to protect. In conclusion, I really like the look of this set with the different shape of the wings at the front. Also, I like the minifigures, especially Jek and the Ithorian Jedi. My only worry is the cost as the piece to price ration is quite off. It would be nicer if it were a bit less.
