LEGO® Technic Remote-Controlled VOLVO L350F Wheel Loader 42030 Review

The LEGO VOLVO L350F is the first VOLVO branded Technic set. It costs $249.99 and comes with 1636 pieces which is much more than 10 cents per piece but this doesn't matter as I know that the RC pieces add a lot of price. The set looks really similar to the real thing which is fantastic and LEGO have really nailed the shapes. All the functions except for suspension on this are remote-controlled. The first is actual movement which is slow enough to aim and manoeuvre but not too slow and can be steered to help this. A nice part of this is that the steering wheel turns too which makes it look a little more realistic. Underneath the back part of the loader, there is a working straight six engine that operates as you drive. The arms can lift up and down and the bucket can tilt to allow you to pick up a load. This can be rebuilt into a VOLVO A25F which is nice as this is an actual truck and not something made up. This can be driven and steered too but the other function is a tipping back. Overall, I think this is a good set that looks good and functions well. I like the RC functions and I know that they add price but I don't think it should be that expensive. However, if you don't worry too much about price, I would recommend this.
