LEGO® City Arctic Helicrane 60034 Review

The Arctic Helicrane comes with 262 pieces and costs $39.99 which is slightly overpriced and would be better at $29.99. It comes with 2 minifigures; a Pilot with a walky-talky and an Arctic Explorer with an ice pick. There is a husky-drawn sled that measures 16X4X2cm and looks really nice. The dogs the, selves have a nice mould and colouring and are attached to the sled via a tube piece. The sled has a camera and a light at the front and a crate with a scanner and a pair of snowshoes in the middle. There is space at the back for the explorer and also a radar screen. The Helicrane looks really nice with a unique design. I really like 6 rotor propellor and the engines underneath but I think the back end could do with a bit more covering up. The cockpit can be removed to reveal space to place your pilot minifigure and in here is a seat and a lever. A cog underneath the propellor lowers the winch which can pick up the crate that contains the ice rock with the gem. Overall, I think this is a nice looking set with a few good functions. I love the look of the helicrane and the sled also looks great. I would have liked an extra minifigure or it to be $10 cheaper but, apart from that, this is a great set.
