LEGO® City Deep Sea Submarine 60092 Review

The Deep Sea Submarine costs $39.99 and comes with 274 pieces making it about 14.6 cents per piece which is too expensive. I think LEGO should have priced it at $30 dollars as it is still more than 10 cents per piece but is more reasonable. It includes 3 minifigures; 2 scuba divers and a submarine driver as well as a shark with an opening mouth. The accessories included are 2 subs masks, 2 oxygen tanks, 2 pairs of flippers, a camera and a crowbar. There are two seperate builds with this set; a submarine and the whale rib cage area. The submarine looks really nice with 2 ballast tanks, 2 adjustable thrusters and 2 arms and measures 19X11X9cm. One of these arms has a claw and one with a searchlight and both are jointed. The cockpit opens to reveal space for the submariner where there's two levers. As well as these big details, there are some nice small ones like lights on the top and bottom, fins and storage compartments. The scenery area looks really nice. The whale rib cage is hinged to a rocky area covered in seaweed. When the bones are lifted, they reveal a treasure chest that has treasure included. Overall, I think this set is really nice looking with a good amount of detail. The minifigures and play value are nice but I can't help but think of that price. If it weren't for that, this would be one of my favourite sets.
