LEGO® City Arctic Outpost 60035 Review

The Arctic Outpost costs $49.99 and comes with 374 pieces which is $10 more than I'd ideally like but the price is acceptable. It comes with 3 minifigures which are all Arctic Explorers but one has a different print and hat to the others. This set comes with lots of accessories which are a chainsaw, a grinder, a pick axe, a wrench and an ice pick. This set comes with 3 main builds; an All-Terrain Vehicle, a Truck and a Mobile Outpost. The All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) has thick rubber tyres, lights at the front and space for one minifigure. It has a chain on the back which can tow the ice block containing the crystal and measures 4X2X6cm. I don't personally think this looks very good and I wish LEGO had just stuck to the main builds and left this out. The truck, on the other hand, looks really good and measures 14X6X11cm. This has really thick tyres, spotlights and a satellite dish on top. I really like the shape of this and the roof can be removed to put a driver in the cab. In the middle of the truck there are clips for accessories and opening doors to store the crate full of other tools. At the back, there is a jointed crane to pick up the ice block. The outpost also looks really good and measures 16X9X12cm. On the outside, there is a satellite dish, a ladder and the entire thing slides on skids. It can be towed behind the truck. If you want to access the interior, the side can open to reveal some more space. Inside, there are details such as computer screens and a microscope to analyse he crystal. Overall, I really like the most part of this set. The truck and outpost are fantastic and I really like the minifigures. However, I wish there was no ATV so the set could maybe be cheaper but I suppose it's an extra. I would recommend this set.
