LEGO® Technic Mining Truck 42035 Review

The LEGO Mining Truck is a really good looking set. It costs $29.99 and comes with 362 pieces making it less than 10 cents per piece which is good news for me. The model measures 19cm long, 10cm wide and 10cm high. The truck looks great and I love the way LEGO have used the ladder stickers to show the size of it and the other sticker has detail. There are three functions on this set which is great considering its size. The first one is steering that can be operated by turning a knob on top and this is really slick. The dump back can lift up to get rid of the load but unfortunately, no load is included. Finally, there is a working piston engine and belt that works when you push the truck. I really like how this function works, especially the belt. On top of all this, this set can be rebuilt into a Wheel Dozer. This looks a bit awkward but LEGO have still done well actually building a working alternate model. This features rear steering, a working piston engine and, when you push the lever at the back, the scoop at the front goes down. Overall, I think the main build of this looks and works fantastically and I think LEGO have done fantastically with this set. The alternate build is decent and it's nice to get this extra build. Finally, this is great value and a set I would definitely recommend.
