LEGO® Technic Service Truck 42008 Review

The LEGO Service Truck costs $129.99, comes with 1276 pieces and measures 44X15X15cm. As well as all the normal pieces, this set comes with a motor, battery pack and hydrolics which is fantastic. The truck itself looks fantastic with a nice colour scheme, great detail and a unique design with 2 front wheels. The stickers on this really bring out the look and the tall exhaust stacks look great. My favourite part about the aesthetics of this set is the front as the grill, lights and low ride make it look great. The steering on this truck is operated via the cog on top of the cabin and this is cool because both of the front wheels angle. As well as that, there are five other functions with this set. They are all switched between via a gearbox system that are hidden underneath panels on either side. The first is that the boom raises and lowers and this works just as you'd expect it to. Also, the winch can extend and retract and the stabilisers at the back go down. The other two functions are operated by hydrolics. One of these a fold up end of the boom and an extendable boom. I really like the way the hydrolics work. This can be rebuilt into a truck with trailer. This looks pretty good and comes with a fair amount of functions which are; front steering, rotating crane, hydrolics claw, extending claw and tipping trailer. Overall, I think this is a really nice set that looks fantastic but also has a wide variety of functions that work well and he B-Model is pretty good. Not only that but this is pretty good value with lots of working parts. I would definitely recommend this set.
