The LEGO Arctic Truck costs $84.99 and comes with the 913 pieces making it 9.3 cents per piece, just less than 10. When built up, this measures 40cm long, 16cm wide and 18cm tall. The orange colour scheme isn't original which I would usually moan at but the stickers on this make it. They are really nice and in abundance which brings out texture to the model. It's got an odd looking shape which I think I like but the centre bit just looks a bit bare. The cabin has a unique shape with seat detail, steering wheel, rear view mirrors and lights. The entire thing drives on caterpillar tracks that have suspension and front steering and look great. In the middle section, there is a crane that comes with a load. The functions included with this are a raising boom and a winch to raise and lower the load. The final feature on this is that the pickup-style back tips up to deposit the load which, unfortunately, isn't included. On top of all this, the set rebuilds into a Tracked Pickup Truck. This looks just as good, if not better than the first build. This too features cabin detail, suspension and front steering but the rest of the features are slightly different. On the pickup back, there is a small crane that has an adjustable boom and winch. On top of this, there is a separate satellite dish build. This folds up and clips onto the back of the truck as a trailer. The legs can be folded down for stability by turning a knob at the front and the satellite can be extended by pushing a lever. Finally, the angle of the satellite can be changed by turning the knob on the side. Overall, I think this set looks okay but a bit weird. The functions, however are fantastic and the value is decent. The strongest point about this set, though, (for me) is the B-Build as it is just as good as the main build which is rare. This provides 2 fantastic models for one set and extra play value.
