With 2606 pieces and costing $219.99, this is one mega technic set. When built, it measures 59cm long, 15cm wide and 21cm high which is huge. This is constructed in 3 parts; the actual vehicle, the superstructure and the arm which fit together well. The crane looks absolutely fantastic with 12 wheels and a well-detailed cab. There are, in my eyes, no aesthetic faults in this and it looks great. The steering on this set is interesting as the middle wheels are the only ones that don't angle which provides for effective turning and looks cool. Just behind the cab is a V8 piston engine that is operated by the middle wheels. The rest of the functions are operated by the motor. The stabilisers on the sides come out and then you can lower the stabilisers. The boom can raise and lower and then can extend quite a long way out. The hook can then be raised and lowered to pick up the load which unfortunately isn't included with the set. The alternate build, or should I say builds, are a Cargo Loader and Cargo truck that look pretty good. The functions on the loader are steering, a working V8, raising boom, extending boom and closing grabber. These all work really well and the grabber is really suited to the crate provided with the set. The truck also comes with steering but also comes with a function that locks the crate into place and I really like how this works. In conclusion, then, I think this is an almost flawless set, my only concern being there is no load for the crane. Apart from that, this set is great value, good-looking and well-working. A great set.
