LEGO® Technic Formula Off Roader 42037 Review

The LEGO Technic Formula Off Roader costs $59.99 but only comes with 494 pieces which is overpriced in my mind and odd for a technic set. When built, this set measures 29X20X15 which is pretty decent. I think this set looks fantastic, though, with a unique colour scheme and chrome stickers. I really like the minor details such as the spotlights and wheel arches but the big things such as the roll cage and engine detail. There are three features included in this set; suspension, steering and a working engine. The steering and engine are sound like they are in every other set but the suspension in this is fantastic. It allows the Off Roader to go over rough terrain just like it actually would. The alternate build for this set is a Muscle Racer that measures 28X21X12cm. The features are identical but the aesthetics have been slightly changed. I don't think this looks as good but still pretty nice with low shapes. In conclusion, then, this set isn't the strongest from the technic line. The price and functions let this down a bit with it being too expensive with not enough to do. However, it does look good and the functions it has are good. I think this is all down to personal opinion.
