With 735 pieces, this is the biggest of the Arctic sets. It costs $89.99 making it about 12.3 cents per piece which, for this set, I honestly don't mind. This set comes with 7 minifigures; 4 Arctic Explorers, a Pilot, a Scientist and a Research Assistant as well as a really nice polar bear. There are 5 separate elements to this set; a helicopter, a husky sled, a snow scooter, a tracked exploration vehicle and the base itself. The helicopter is small and simple measuring 15X13X7cm. It has and opening cockpit and a lowering winch to pick up the net with an ice rock inside. It looks mostly good but I don't like how low to the floor the skids are and it looks a bit comical. The husky sled is drawn by four dogs, slides on skis and measures 16X5X9cm. There is a crate in the middle, a fishing rod at the back and space for the explorer to stand. I really like the look of this build and it is simple but effective. The snow scooter is the smallest build but one of my favourites measuring 8X5X3cm. It has space for 1 minifigure and has some nice lights. The tracked exploration vehicle drives on 2 heavy-duty caterpillar tracks and has space in the cabin for a minifigure. It measures 20X11X11cm. At the back, there is a jointed, rotating drill with an operator's seat to break the ice rocks. I really like the look of this model and it works well. The main model, the base, looks great and measures 22X24X19cm. At the front, there is a conveyer belt to move the ice rocks and an area at the top to crack them open. In the area behind, the walls can open to reveal a research area. In here there are computer monitors and other details where the scientist can observe the crystal. The other room is a garage with a fold up roof to get in. There is an opening door, space for the snow scooter and some chair and table detail. In conclusion, I think this is a nice-looking set with lots of features that are all good. My only, singular worry is that the helicopter looked a bit odd. Apart from that, I would highly recommend this set.
