LEGO® Star Wars UCS Slave I 75060 Review

Slave I is the ship belonging to the infamous bounty hunter Boba Fett as seen in Episode V. The set costs $199.99, includes 1996 pieces and measures 45X37X20cm. There are stickers all over the set to give the illusion that the ship is weathered and it really brings out the overall look. I also think LEGO have nailed the colours of this ship with the greens and reds. I also love the curved shapes, especially down the back end. All over the ship is lots of griebling and detail that really brings out the character of the ship. There is an area in the back to store Han Solo in carbonite and he slots away nicely. The windscreen is removable and reveals the cockpit in which there is a rotatable seat. This allows Boba to be at the right angle in both flight and landing mode. There are 3 console pieces on this seat and a joystick in the middle which gives it a really good look. The same levelling function occurs in the wings as they are flat in both landing and flight mode. Once in flight mode, you can see the engines on the back that look really accurate to the film. There are 2 adjustable cannons at the bottom that look good but the rest of the weapons are inside flaps on either side of the middle. These flaps open and the weapons are a rocket and two blasters. The entire thing can be propped on a stand in flight mode for displayability. At the base of the stand is a plaque with some information about the ship. As well as the model, this set comes with four minifigures; a Stormtrooper, a Bespin Guard, Han Solo who can fit into the carbonite and Boba Fett. All of these minifigures are great in my opinion, especially Boba and the Bespin Guard. In conclusion, I really like this set. It has a fair amount of features and minifigures but, over everything else, it just looks fantastic. I would recommend this to any Star Wars fan.
