The Red Five X-Wing was the starfighter seen in Episode IV being piloted by none other than Luke Skywalker Himself. It measures a whopping 52cm long, 46cm wide and 26cm high and comes with 1559 pieces. However, it costs $199.99 which, to me, is slightly overpriced. It comes with one minifigure; R2-D2 although I don't see why Luke wasn't here because it is his ship. The detailing of the Starfighter is fantastic and the unnecessary griebling looks great. My favourite parts have to be the blasters and the engines as LEGO have put a huge amount of effort into making them look accurate and they sure do. As you can probably see from the picture, the detailing of this set is very close and authentic to the real thing. As well as all this, the X-Wing's wings can fold up. This can be done by turning a knob at the back of the ship that is nicely hidden as a part of the engine. Also, the canopy opens to reveal a nice cockpit area with a seat, console and joystick. The entire thing can be angled upon a stand that comes with the set and at the base of this is a plaque with information about the X-Wing. Overall, this is a great set for collectors and Star Wars fans. The detailing represents the iconic craft fantastically but I think there should be a Luke Skywalker minifigure and it should be cheaper.
