LEGO® Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi Ewok Village 10236 Review

The LEGO Version of the Ewok's Village costs , comes with 1190 pieces and measures a whopping 55X35X35cm! It includes 16 minifigures; 2 Stormtroopers, 2 Scout Troopers, 2 Rebel Troopers, Wicket, Chief Chirpa, Teebo, Logray, an Ewok warrior, C-3PO, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo as well as R2-D2. The weapons include are Luke's lightsaber, 2 spears, a bow, 2 staffs, 2 spears, 3 blaster pistols, 2 blasters and 2 blaster rifles. The model itself looks fantastic and is full to the brim with play features. The first structure is built separately but can be connected to the rest via a rope bridge. On this structure there is a tunnel that goes all the way down and the idea is that you put a minifigure on the top and then slide out the floor so the minifigure falls all the way to the bottom. Also, on this area, there is a fold down rope ladder and a couple of mushrooms at the bottom. Like I said, there's a rope swing to get from here to the main bit. Underneath this is some nice foliage detail, mushrooms and a fold out spiders web. Also, at the bottom, there is a secret weapons stash and also a secret hideout with some nice stickers. The first main tree top is rotatable, as all of them are, and inside is a bedroom and a room for planning. These are both small but nicely detailed. The next tree has a small room with a fire in it. This, to me, looks like where C-3PO was telling tales of his adventures. On top of this is a small catapult with some spare ammo. The final tree has two small rooms in. The first one is a cooking room in which there is a fire, a pot and space to store the food included in this set. The other room is a small storage room with a barrel and satchel. On top is a crane that operates the net they were all caught in. It can be pulled up by tugging the rope. On the actual platform, there is lots of detail like some drums and some helmets of the troopers they have defeated. In the centre of this is a turning spit that you can put a minifigure which looks really good. At the back is a couple of poles where they were tied up in the film. There is rope behind to do this. Finally, on this floor there is a throne for C-3PO to sit on. This can look like the force is making it fly by using a clear pole. As well as the main structure, this set comes with 2 mini builds; a speeder bike and a catapult. They both look and work well. Overall, I think this is a great-looking set with lots of play value but could maybe be a bit cheaper.
