LEGO® Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer 75055 Review

The LEGO Star Destroyer comes with 1359 pieces and measures a fantastic 50X33X19cm. It costs $119.99 and comes with 6 minifigures; 2 Stormtroopers, Imperial Officer, Imperial Crew, Imperial Navy Trooper and Darth Vader as well as a Mouse Droid and an all-new Emperor hologram microfigure. The weapons included are 2 blaster pistols, 2 blasters and Darth Vader's lightsaber. The Star Destroyer looks fantastic and LEGO managed to pull off the angles very well. The top panel comes with 2 spring-loaded shooters and 2 pairs of 4 rotating turrets that, when the lever is pulled, turn simeltaneously. Just behind the panel is the bridge which looks good but unfortunately there is no space for minifigures. At the back is a flap that can be lifted to reveal an area to store your two spare bolts. Also, at the back, there is a series of engines in a nice transparent blue colour. To get into the inside of the model, the top panel can be removed and the side panels can be folded out. The front end of the interior is supposed to look like the bridge in the film with the raised path for Darth Vader and the seats and consoles for the crew on the lower level. In the rear interior, on the left, there isn't much apart from a rotatable weapon stand. However, on the other side, there is a transparent blue printed screen on a table and also a hologram table. Overall, I think this is a good set with nice exterior but I personally think the interior could do with a bit of work. The minifigures are great though.
