LEGO® Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens Rey's Speeder 75099 Review

With 193 pieces, costing $19.99 and measuring 14X5X9cm, Rey's Speeder is the smallest of The Force Awakens sets, but it certainly doesn't mean it's bad. It comes with two minifigures; Rey and Unkar's Thug. Both are nicely printed and look good but only the Unkar's Thug is exclusive to this set. Four of the accessories, a buzzsaw, a pair of electrobinoculaers, a blaster and a staff can be clipped to the side of the speeder. The rest of the accessories are a golden crowbar wielded by the Unkar's Thug, a storage crate which holds 8 spare studs and a newly-mounded face wrap and goggles for Rey. The speeder itself looks fantastic. The curved edges look great and is a generally a good display piece. There is a seat at the back for Rey to sit in on top of two engines. As well as looking good, the bottom engine, when twisted reveals a storage compartment to put the crate in at the front. There is a few clear plate pieces on the underneath of this speeder so it can be pushed around easily and 'hover'. Finally, at the front, there is a pair of well hidden stud shooters in the same burgundy colour as the body. This set, in conclusion, includes a lot of bang for your buck. It has some great play features, minifigures and generally looks appealing. A good present for Star Wars fans.
