LEGO® City Starter Set 60086 Review

The City Starter set is almost three times as expensive with almost three times the pieces as any other starter sets. It costs $29.99 and comes with 242 pieces which is a little too expensive even with the five minifigures included. These are 2 fighfighters, a crook, a police officer and a paramedic pilot. There are five vehicles included with this set which are; a Police ATV, a Fireboat, a Helicopter, a Police Watercraft and a Crooks' Speedboat. The police ATV is a simple build but more detailed than previous versions. It looks good as a vehicle but not really as an ATV. I think it looks a bit too long and a bit more like a cross with a car. It measures 7X5X5cm and I like the light and tyre detail. A trailer, measuring 6X5X2cm, attaches to the back which can carry the watercraft which measures 6X3X3cm. They are both simple but effective builds. The Fireboat measures 18X8X6cm which is a pretty nice size. There's a cab in the middle and a water cannon at the front as well as plenty of space for minifigures. I really like the hull and outboard detailing and I think they make it look really good. The helicopter is used by the medic to access casualties quickly and it measures 17X18X9cm. I like the design with buoyancy tanks and lights. There's space for the pilot in the cockpit as well as an area to attach the stretcher on the side. The Crooks' craft measures 9X5X2cm and allows all three other builds to interact. The outboard motor is on fire, the crook needs medical attention and he also needs arresting. I like the details and colour of this build. As well as all these things, there are 3 life jackets, a pair of handcuffs, a crowbar, a walkie-talkie, a backpack, a first aid kit and 2 banknotes. Overall, I think this a nice set with a fair amount of detail. I like the way the crooks boat incorporates all the services and the models are generally good. However, I think it should be a little cheaper and I think the ATV needs a little work but, apart from that, a good set.

LEGO® City Camper Van 60057 Review

The Camper Van costs $19.99 and comes with 195 pieces making it about 10.3 cents per piece which is fair. It comes with 2 minifigures; a boy and a woman as well as a canoe, 2 oars, 2 mugs and 2 life jackets. The camper van itself measures 16X7X12cm and looks very accurate to a camper van you'd see today. The colouring is simple but effective and the shapes are very nice. The roof at the front can be removed to put a minifigure in the cab where there's also space for a mug. There's space at the top to moon the canoe for transportation and roof panels come off to reveal space for the life jackets and oars. The whole side opens to show the actual inside of the camper. There is space for the minifigures and there's also some nice detail. In conclusion, I think this set has lots to it for such a cheap price. It looks good, has nice minifigures. Children and adults will get a lot of fun from this.

LEGO® City Pickup Tow Truck 60081 Review

The Pickup Tow Truck costs $19.99 and comes with 209 pieces making it about 9.6 cents per piece. This is pretty good value so I'm happy with this aspect. There are 2 minifigures; a Man and a Driver as well as a wrench, a hammer, a fire extinguisher and 2 cones. There are 2 main builds to this; the Tow Truck and a Car. The truck measures 19X6X10cm and looks pretty good. I like the chunky tyres and colour scheme as well as the detailed front and horns and lights. There's space in the cab for a minifigure but there are no opening doors. At the back, there's room for accessories as well as an arm to pull the car. This can be lifted by pulling a lever. The car measures 11X5X4cm and is a more simple build. It has a nice blue colour and a cool front. There's space for the driver and the doors open. Overall, I think this is a pretty good set. I like the minifigures and there's some nice detail whilst it still has good play-ability. However, the build is a tad simple and I think a couple of details could have been tweaked. Apart from that, a good job.

LEGO® City Dune Buggy Trailer 60082 Review

The Dune Buggy Trailer costs $19.99 and comes with 222 pieces which is less than 10 cents per piece so I'm happy. It comes with 2 minifigures; a man and a woman as well as a wrench and a helmet. There are 3 elements to this set; a Truck, a Trailer and the Buggy itself. The truck measures 12X6X7cm and has some cool-looking gold wheels. There's space for 2 minifigures as well as a nice front. However, I can't help but feel that this looks extremely bland and plain. To me, it just looks like the average City truck but that's just to me. The trailer measures 16X6X3 and has 2 pairs of smaller wheels. The ramps at the back go down and there are some grooves that hold the buggy in place. This buggy measures 9X5X4cm and looks great. There's space for a minifigure and it has thick, rugged tyres. I like the colour and there's some nice detail. Overall, I think this is a pretty decent set. It's good value, the minifigures are nice and I love the buggy. The truck looks a little plain but there's nothing really wrong with it and I would recommend this set.

LEGO® City Snowplow Truck 60083 Review

The Snowplow Truck costs $20.00 and comes with 196 pieces making it about 10.2 cents per piece which is pretty good. This set comes with only 1 minifigure; a driver but I don't at all mind because the set more than makes up for this. It measures 18X9X10cm and has an awesome unimog design. I really like the unique colour scheme and the rugged tyres with high wheel arches. The blade at the front has a nice design with lights and can be adjusted to different angles. There is space in the cab for a minifigure as well as the usual mug. There are some nice exhaust pillars behind as well as an open back. There are some small white pieces included that can be either snow or salt depending on what you prefer. The idea is that you put these pieces in the back and use the salt-spreading function to disperse them on the road. In conclusion, I think this is a great-looking set with a nice function. It's good value and looks absolutely brilliant. One of my favourite city sets.

LEGO® City Racing Bike Transporter 60084 Review

The Racing Bike Transporter costs $19.99 and comes with 178 pieces making it about 11.2 cents. Normally, I would say this is too much but for this I honestly don't mind. There are 2 racing driver minifigures as well as 2 helmets and a winners trophy. As well as the truck, there is a small brick-built podium for 1st, 2nd and 3rd and is nice but I don't think the pieces on top allow for very good posability. The pickup truck measures 14X6X6cm and has a cool black, red and white colour scheme that matches the minifigures and the bikes. It has space for minifigures in the front as well as the traditional mug. This looks really nice and bulky with lots of detail and patterns and there's space for a bike in the back. It is towing a trailer that measures 12X4X2cm and has space for one bike. The back ramp folds down and it has a nice simple but effective design. The bikes themselves each measure 7X2X4cm and have some nice patterns. They have gold wheels and space for a minifigure. Overall, I really like nearly all aspects of this set. It looks great and children will get a lot of fun before and after the build. I just think the podium could have had normal pieces that meant the minifigure wasn't hanging a little over the edge. However, this is just nitpicking and is a great set apart from this.

LEGO® City Monster Truck 60055 Review

The Monster Truck costs $9.99 and comes with 78 pieces making it over 10 cents per piece but I don't really mind too much. It comes with a driver minifigure who matches the truck as well as a wrench. The truck has a nice green and black colour scheme with some red stars. I really like the look of this with thick tyres and high wheel arches. There's space for a minifigure in the cab and a really nice, patterned spoiler. Overall, I think this is a nice set that looks fantastic. The minifigure is good and I love the patterns. A small gift that any child would love.

LEGO® City Race Car 60053 Review

The LEGO Race Car costs $10 and comes with exactly 100 pieces making it 10 cents per piece making it good value. It comes with a Racing Driver minifigure and a winners trophy that is quite big. The car measures 12X6X4cm and has some nice Octan sponsoring over it as well as the number 1. There is space for the driver inside and the colouring matches the Octan logo. At the back, there's a spoiler and it drives on sporty wheels. Overall, I think this is a nice, small set. The minifigure is good, the trophy is nice and the overall look is great.

LEGO® City Demolition Site 60076 Review

The Demolition Site is the biggest of the demolition sets coming with 776 pieces and costing $89.99. This makes it about 11.6 cents per piece which isn't far off but would be better at $79.99. It comes with 5 demolition worker minifigures and the accessories are a pickaxe, a shovel, a saw, a jackhammer, a sign, a wheelbarrow, a rat, ear protectors and 2 sticks of dynamite. There are 4 main builds to this set; a wrecking ball crane, a front loader, a dump truck and a derelict house. The crane measures 21X11X29cm and has a lowering wrecking ball. The crane arm adjusts and the entire thing drives on caterpillar tracks. There's space for a minifigure in the cab and I really like the look of the entire thing. The front loader measures 19X7X9cm and can steer. The front bucket can lift and lower to pick up rubble and there's space in the cab for a minifigure. This too looks great with thick tyres and nice wheel arches. The dump truck also has steering and the back tips up to deposit the load. There's space in the cab for a minifigure and some lights at the front. This doesn't look as good but still looks okay. The row of houses has some nice exterior such as a bin and broken bricks. There's a nice door and windows which make it look like houses. Inside, there's some more nice detail such as a broken toilet. The walls are loosely attached to the base which means they can be broken down with the wrecking ball and the walls at the left can be broken by pressing a lever at the other end. In conclusion, I think this is a really strong set with various nice details. I like all the minifigures and vehicles and there are lots of play features. My only fault would be the price but it's all about what you pure willing to pay and I would pay this.

LEGO® City Excavator and Truck 60075 Review

The Excavator and Truck costs $49.99 and comes with 311 pieces which makes it about 16 cents per piece which is far too much. It only comes with 2 construction worker minifigures which, to me, isn't enough. The accessories included are a shovel, a broom, rubble, a jackhammer, a crate and 2 sticks of dynamite. There are 3 main builds to this set; an excavator, a conveyor belt and a truck. The excavator measures 15X6X16cm and drives on thick tyres. There is space for one minifigure in the cabin where there's also some levers. The excavator has a jointed arm and a grabber that allows you to pick things up. It has some nice details and shapes. The conveyor belt measures 13X6X8cm and has a simple design. The idea is that you use the excavator to pick up some rubble and drop it onto the conveyor. Then, by turning the wheel, the conveyor belt lifts the rubble into the back of the truck which measures 17X5X9cm. It has a nice blue colour scheme and space for a minifigure on the cab. There is some nice light and grill detail and it has an open back for the rubble to fall into. The back can also tip up to deposit the load. Overall, I think this is a pretty good set but has a couple of downfalls. It has nice details and a fair amount of play features. The vehicles look good and the build is solid. However, I think this is a bit overpriced and would be better at $35 and it would be nice to get another minifigure. It would be a strong set if it weren't for the price tag.

LEGO® City Bulldozer 60074 Review

The Bulldozer costs $39.99 and comes with 384 pieces making it about 10.4 cents per piece which is really good value. The minifigures are 2 demolition workers which are good but I would have liked another. The accessories included are a sledgehammer, a jackhammer, a sign, 2 sticks of dynamite, a wheelbarrow, ear defenders and some loose bricks. The bulldozer measures 19X11X10cm and looks great. The blade and ripper can be lowered and the vehicle drives on caterpillar tracks. There is space for a minifigure in the cab where there's also some controls. I really like the grill and lights which make it look great. As well as this, there's a section of building that's simple but effective. It has a door and front light but not much else. In conclusion, I think this is a really good value set that looks great. Their is a fair amount of play-ability but I think their should be one more minifigure included.

LEGO® City Service Truck 60073 Review

The Service Truck costs $24.99 and comes with 233 making it about 10.7 cents per piece which is pretty good value. It includes 2 minifigures; a Driver and a Construction Worker and the accessories are a jackhammer, a bin, a broom, a fire extinguisher, a mug, a shovel and 2 barriers. The truck measures 13X7X13cm with the crane extended and has space for a minifigure in the front. I really like the look of this set from all angles with lots of detail such as steps to the cab. The back has folding down sides with lots of space for all the accessories and a fold-out crane at the back. The truck tows a trailer which measures 8X6X2cm with a portable toilet measuring 4X3X8cm on it. I absolutely love this build with a male/female sign on the side and a piece that allows it to be lifted by the crane. The door can open to reveal a great-looking toilet as well as a toilet roll. In conclusion, I think this is a really nice looking set for good value. The minifigures are good and I adore the toilet. There are lots of accessories and details and I would definitely recommend this set.

LEGO® City Demolition Starter Set 60072 Review

The Demolition Starter Set costs $9.99 and comes with 85 pieces making it about 11.8 cents per piece which is good for a starter set. It comes with 3 construction workers and a foreman as well as a jackhammer, a sledgehammer, a megaphone and 2 traffic cones. The minifigures look good and I really like the cones and sledgehammer. As well as this, there's a mini digger and a chunk of house. The mini digger measures 10X4X8cm and has an adjustable bucket. It has nice, rugged tyres and an opening cockpit with space for a minifigure. The chunk of house has a broken toilet and after splashing out. This is simple but really well done and a nice addition to the set. Overall, I think this is really nice and looks fantastic. The minifigures are good and everything that's brick-built is great. It's good value and my favourite starter set.

LEGO® City Fire Station 60004 Review

The Fire Station is the largest of the fire sets costing $99.99 and coming with 752 pieces. However, I do think this is a bit prices and would be better at $89.99. It comes with 3 firefighters, a fire chief and a Dalmatian. The accessories included are a flaming box, firefighting equipment, axe, chainsaw, telephone, walkie-talkies and a cup. As well as the station, this set comes with three vehicles; a Fire Truck, a Fire Car and a Fire Helicopter. The truck measures 18X5X8cm and has space for a minifigure in the front. The ladder rotates and extends and there is space in the side for accessories as well as an extendable hose. The car measures 10X5X5cm and has clips on the sides for accessories. There is space for the minifigure in the front and the trunk opens to load some stuff in. The helicopter measures 18X16X8cm and has a nice design. There is space for a minifigure in the front and a water cannon on the side. The station itself measures 38X25X31cm and looks great. On the outside, there is a pavement, a bin and a street lamp. To the right, there are 2 garages to store the vehicles and a helipad on the roof for the helicopter. The garage doors open and there is a toolbox inside. To the right, there is a 3-storey building. The bottom floor has a desk with a computer and TV screen. The second floor has shelves with the equipment the firefighters need and the top floor has an eating area with a kitchen. Finally, there is a pole that the firefighters can slide down. In conclusion, I think this is a nice set with a fair amount of detail. I like the station and the vehicles fit in well. My only issues are that this is a bit expensive and there aren't really enough minifigures.

LEGO® City Fire Emergency 60003 Review

Fire Emergency costs $39.99 and comes with 301 pieces making it about 13.3 cents per piece which is a bit overpriced. It comes with 3 firefighters and fighting her gear, an axe and a saw. It comes with a Fire Truck and an Abandoned House. The fire truck measures 16X5X8cm and looks really good. There are nice lights and a fire extinguisher on the outside and space for a minifigure in the inside. The ladder extends and rotates so the firefighter can reach the fire. The abandoned house measures 12X6X14cm and is boarded up with some really nice wood planks. Outside, there's a bin, a broom and a lamppost and there's some detail on the inside. Finally, the fire on the roof can be folded down by turning the cog on the side. In conclusion, I think this is a really good looking set. The minifigures are great but there should be more accessories. Also, I think this is a bit overpriced and should be reduced by about $5.

LEGO® City Fire Truck 60002 Review

The Fire Truck costs $19.99 and comes with 209 pieces making it about 9.6 cents per piece which is great value. It comes with 2 firefighters and a fire hydrant, firefighting gear, an axe, a fire extinguisher and a saw. The fire hydrant can be attached to the fire engine with a hose to refill it with water. The truck itself measures 16X5X8cm and looks great. There are nice thick tyres, a cool windscreen, lights, a ladder and a hose. The panel on the side opens to store the accessories and there is space in the cabin for both the minifigures. The ladder extends and rotates so you can reach any fire. Finally, there is a piece included to simulate the water. Overall, I think this is a really good looking set with lots of features. The minifigures are really good and, best of all, it's great value.

LEGO® City Fire Starter Set 60088 Review

The Starter Set is the smallest of the fire sets. It costs $9.99 and comes with 92 pieces which is pretty good value for money. It comes with 4 minifigures; 2 Firemen, a Fire Chief and a Garage Owner and the accessories are a brick-built barrier, a megaphone, a walkie-talkie, 2 fire extinguishers, a wrench and an axe. The idea is that the garage has set on fire and the firemen need to put it out with the help of their ATV. The ATV measures 7X4X7cm and looks okay but I don't really think a fire ATV is a good concept at all. There's space for 1 minifigure and there's clips at the back for accessories. The garage area is only a small representation but has a petrol pump, a bin and some flames. In conclusion, I think this is an okay starter set and I really like the minifigures. However, I don't really like the ATV but I don't know why and the barrier is a bit dull. Despite this, the set is really good value and that means it's worth a buy.

LEGO® City Police Station 60047 Review

The newest LEGO Police Station costs $99.99 and comes with 854 pieces making it about 11.7 cents per piece. This is a little overpriced but it all depends on what you're willing to pay. It comes with 7 minifigures; 4 Police Officers and 3 Crooks and the accessories are 4 pairs of handcuffs, 3 walkie-talkies, 2 crowbars, a torch, a pair of binoculars, 2 balls and chains, 3 coffee mugs, 2 banknotes, a backpack, a megaphone and a laptop. As well as the station, there are 4 vehicles with this set; a Police Car, a Police Bike, a Police Helicopter and a Crooks' Car.  The Police Car measures 11X5X5cm and has some nice detail and colours. There is space for one minifigure in the front and there are lights at the top and front. The motorbike measures 6X4X7cm and is a pretty simple build. There are lights at the front and clips at the back. The helicopter measures 20X5X8cm and, too, is a pretty simple design. There is space for one minifigure and rotors. The final vehicle is the truck that has a simple but effective design. There is space for one minifigure in the front and a chain at the back. There is some nice exterior detail to this set and various rooms. To the left, there's s garage with an opening door and some rooms in a control tower. The middle has some cell blocks over a drive with an opening barrier. The chain can be used to crack open the cell and release the crook. To the right, there's two large rooms with computers and desks and on the roof there's a helipad. In conclusion, I think there's lots to this set and a high level of detail. I like the minifigures and the builds are good. The price is a little off but it all depends on what you're willing to pay.

LEGO® City Helicopter Surveillance 60046 Review

Helicopter Surveillance comes with 528 pieces and costs $74.99 making it about 14.2 cents per piece. I think this is far too expensive and it should be about $20 cheaper. It comes with 5 minifigures; 3 Police Officers and 2 Crooks and the accessories included are a crowbar, 2 handcuffs, 3 banknotes, 3 gold bars, 2 crystals, a goblet,a box, a barrel, a wheelbarrow, backpack, safe, camera, radar gun and a pair of earphones. There are 3 main builds in this set; a Police Helicopter, a Crooks' Truck and the Crooks' Hideout. The helicopter measures 44X34X15cm which is pretty huge. It has a nice 6 rotor design and I love the intakes and front end. There is a sliding door and a rope that comes out. However, I think the wheels are a bit small for the size of the helicopter looks comical. The hideout measures 13X6X9cm and looks great. There is a door to the left and space for the safe inside. My favourite part, though, is a sliding garage door so the truck can get out. The truck in question measures 10X5X5cm and has space for one minifigure in the front and space for the crate in the back. In conclusion, I think this is an okay set and I really like the minifigures, hideout and truck. However, I think the helicopter needs a bit of work and it's a bit too expensive.

LEGO® City Mobile Police Unit 60044 Review

The Mobile Police Unit comes with 375 pieces and costs $44.99 which makes it about 12 cents per piece. I don't think this is far off but $5 cheaper would be nice. It comes with 3 minifigures; 2 Police Officers and a Crook. The accessories included are 2 coffee mugs, a crowbar, a banknote, a walkie-talkie and handcuffs as well as a couple of barriers. The truck, when closed up, looks fantastic and measures 30X7X16cm. There is space for the minifigure in the cab and lots of sticker detail. I think LEGO have done a great job making it look good on both the outside and the inside which leads me on to the main feature. The roof can lift up and the sides open to reveal some cool space. Starting from the left, there is a coffee machine on the side which is small but a fantastic build. In the middle, there are 2 seats in front of three monitors, a computer and a radar. Finally, to the right, there is a small jail cell to hold the crook. In conclusion, I think this set is pretty good. It looks great and has a fair amount of features. The price is a little off but not by far and the minifigures are good.

LEGO® City High Speed Chase 60007 Review

The LEGO High Speed Chase comes with 284 pieces and costs $29.99 which is a reasonable price. The set is based off the Wii U exclusive LEGO City Undercover and the box includes codes for extra stuff in the game. There are 3 minifigures included in this set; Chase McCain, a Burglar and an Elite Police Officer. These minifigures are all good but it's great to get Chase McCain. There are also a pair of handcuffs, 3 banknotes and a bar of gold. As well as the three vehicles, there are small barrier and stinger strip builds. They're small but good. Chase McCain has an Elite Police Vehicle which measures 13X6X7cm. It has a cool off-road design and a police colour scheme. I really like the bumper and lights at the front. Finally, the roof can come off so you can put the minifigure inside. The Elite Police Motorbike measures 6X4X4cm and is a basic build. However, it does have nice lights and clips for accessories. The final build, the burglar sports car measures 12X5X4cm and is my favourite build. It has really nice, curved shapes and an open top. There's a sporty spoiler at the back and a cool intake at the front. Overall, I think this set is great value for money for the set itself, let alone the codes. The builds are really cool and there are some good minifigures. I would recommend this to someone even if they didn't have the game.

LEGO® City Swamp Police Station 60069 Review

The Swamp Police Station is the largest of the Swamp Police sets costing $89.99 and coming with 707 pieces. I think this is slightly too expensive and should be priced at $79.99. It comes with 6 minifigures; 2 crooks and 4 police officers and the accessories are an axe, a backpack, binoculars, 2 pairs of handcuffs, 2 cups, 3 walkie-talkies, 3 banknotes, 2 snakes, a dog and 3 glow-in-the-dark flies. There is a crooks' swamp boat that has a propellor at the back and some engine detail. There is space for one minifigure and clips for accessories and measures 11X4X7cm. There is a chain at the back which leads me on to the next build. The station itself measures 39X25X27cm. To the left, there is a cell block to store the crook. The chain on the boat can be used to crack open the cell and free the crook. There is a jetty area out the front as well as a seperate jetty with a hiding spot for the loot. Also on this platform is an antennae and a bridge takes you over the simulated river to the next section. On top, there is a room with a desk, a fan and a coffee machine. This looks really nice with the panel detail and some nice accessories. Steps lead down to the front where there's a parking space for a police jeep and police motorbike. Both of them look good and I like the jeep especially. Finally, there is a police speedboat that measures 19X8X6cm and has space for 2 minifigures. I like the look of this with the windscreen and the light. In conclusion, I really like this set. It's got lots of nice detail and a good amount of play value. The price is the only worry but it's no too far off.

LEGO® City Crooks' Hideout 60068 Review

The Crooks' Hideout costs $69.99 and comes with 473 pieces making it about 14.8 cents per piece which is far too much in my opinion. It comes with 5 minifigures; 3 crooks and 2 police officers as well as an alligator. The accessories included are a snake, a map, a safe, a hand truck, backpack, walkie-talkie, banknotes, handcuffs and a red crystal. There are 5 seperate builds to this set; a swamp boat, a truck, a helicopter, a tree and the hideout itself. The swamp boat measures 16X7X8cm and looks great. It has a nice red colour with a large propellor at the back and engine detail at the back. It also has space for 2 minifigures but not much else. The truck looks fantastic and measures 13X7X7cm. It has thick tyres, some nice engine detail and space in the cabin for a minifigure. The main feature, though, is that there's a police dinghy on the roof that measures 5X2X9cm. The helicopter is a simple build, measures 18X18X9cm and looks okay. I don't think the buoyancy tanks look very good for the size and it would have been better with skids. There is space for the pilot and propellers. The tree is a small build that has nice detail. There is a space at the bottom for the backpack but, apart from that, not much else. The hideout itself looks really good win the front panels and vines. There is a jetty area, a wind turbine and some interior detail. Inside, ther is are chairs and a table, a map on the wall and a safe. Overall, I think this is a really nice set but the helicopter looks a bit odd. The value too is a bit prices and I think this would be better at a cheaper price.

LEGO® City Hovercraft Arrest 60071 Review

The Hovercraft Arrest comes with 331 pieces and costs $44.99 which is $10 too expensive for me. It comes with 3 minifigures; 2 Crooks and a Police Officer and the accessories are handcuffs, 2 banknotes, 2 gold nuggets, a crowbar, an axe, a walkie-talkie, Alice jacket, a pan, a pair of pliers, a sausage and a snake. There are three main builds with this set; a hovercraft, a half track and a treehouse. The hovercraft measures 16X10X8cm and looks okay. I like the windscreen and air cushion details but I don't like the propellers nor the lights at the back. There are police colours and space for 2 minifigures. The half track measures 13X6X7 and is one of my favourite city vehicles. I love the detail at the front and back. There is space in the front for only one crook and space in the back for the loot-box. I really like this. The final build, the treehouse, is the hideout for the crooks. There is nice tree detailing with leaves hanging down. At the back, there is a ladder to get up and a kitchen area and lamp up top. Finally, under the ladder, there is a secret hiding spot for the loot-box. Overall, I like most about this set. I adore the half-track and the treehouse is pretty good too. The hovercraft is okay but has a couple of faults and the price is a bit off. If you aren't too bothered with price, I would recommend this set.

LEGO® City Water Plane Chase 60070 Review

The LEGO Water Plane Chase costs $29.99 and comes with 263 pieces making it about 11.4 cents per piece which is a pretty good price. It comes with 2 minifigures; a Police Pilot and a Crook and the accessories included are a shovel, a paddle, a spider, handcuffs, a torch, an alligator, banknotes and gold bars. The police have a water plane that measures 20X20X8cm and can land on buoyancy tanks. I really like the engine detail and propellor at the front as well as the lights on the wings. There is space for the one minifigure in the cockpit and the roof comes off to load him in. The crook, on the other hand, drives a cool-looking 4X4 that measures 13X6X7cm. It has thick tyres, spotlights and some nice engine detail. The roof can be removed to load in the minifigure and there's space in the back for tools and a small raft. Finally, there is a small area where the crook can hide his stolen goods. Overall, I think this is a really good set for the price with nice minifigures. I really like both the vehicles and there is a fair amount of play-ability. A good job.

LEGO® City Helicopter Pursuit 60067 Review

Helicopter Pursuit costs $39.99 and comes with 253 pieces pricing it at 15.8 cents per piece. I personally think this is too much and would be better at $29.99. There are 3 minifigures included in this set; a Pilot, a Police Officer and a Crook as well as an alligator. The accessories included are a backpack, handcuffs, a crowbar and a banknote. The police have a helicopter that measures 30X31X12cm. It has a cool 6 rotor design with nice intakes that looks great and the vehicle can land on buoyancy tanks. The cockpit comes off to reveal space for the pilot and there is a light below this cockpit. At the back end of the helicopter, there is space for the Officer to stand and a rope that he can dangle from to intercept the boat which I'll move onto now. This measures 15X4X3cm and has a simple but effective design. There is cool engine detail and a curved windscreen at the front and space for one minifigure. I really like the teeth effect at the front which makes it look menacing. Finally, there is a small shrubbery area that can be used to hide the backpack and money. Overall, I think this is a really good looking set with nice minifigures. The designs are well done and there's a fair amount of play value. My only issue is the price which is, in my opinion, $10 too expensive but, apart from that, I really like this set.

LEGO® City Swamp Police Starter Set 60066 Review

The Swamp Police Starter Set costs $10.00 and comes with 78 pieces making it over 10 cents per piece but this set does come with four minifigures; 2 Police Officers and 2 Crooks as well as an alligator, a snake and a spider. One officer comes with a torch and the other comes with handcuffs and a hat whilst one crook comes with a money bag and the other has a beard. The police come with a swamp boat that measures 8X4X5cm and has a cool-looking propellor at the back. There are clips at either side for a walkie-talkie and a pair of binoculars and space for one minifigure. This looks pretty good and LEGO have made good use of the pieces. The crooks are trying to make a getaway on a wooden raft that is simple but looks really good. Finally, there is a small place to hide the money. There is a shovel here and some shrubbery. In conclusion, this is a nice starter set. I know I like all of them and this hits the mark expected. I sells at a good price and has some nice features.

LEGO® City ATV Patrol 60065 Review

The ATV patrol costs $6.99 and comes with 59 pieces making it about 11.8 cents per piece which is really good for the size.  It also comes with two minifigures; a Police Officer and a Crook. The crook has a striped shirt and comes with a backpack and money and the Police Officer comes with handcuffs. There is also a small, red snake included in the set. There is a small 'hideaway' where the robber can hide his money. This is small but a nice addition. The ATV measures 6X4X4cm and has space for one minifigure. At the front there's a police sign, lights and some handlebars. At the back there are more lights and clips for a snake grabber. Overall, I think this is a small, good value set. It comes with 2 nice minifigures and generally lots for the price. A nice gift for any child.

LEGO® City Arctic Icebreaker 60062 Review

The LEGO Arctic Icebreaker is the most expensive of the Arctic sets costing $129.99. However, it only comes with 717 pieces making it about 18.1 cents per piece which is too much. I know the amount of work that goes into each piece but I do think it should be priced at $100 or $110. It comes with 7 minifigures; a Captain, a Pilot, a Scientist and 4 Arctic Explorers. The accessories included are a shovel, a pick axe, binoculars, a walkie-talkie, a chainsaw, a magnifying glass, a grinder, a scanner, a broom and snowshoes. There are some nice ground detail in the form of a lamp and a radar with some storage at the bottom. These are really simple but look really nice. As well as this, there are 5 other builds; a snowplough, an large ice block, a sled, an explorers base, a helicopter and the icebreaker itself. The snowplough is small, measuring 10X6X6cm, but looks really good. It drives on caterpillar tracks and has a cab with space for 1 minifigure. The front blade can angle and the back can dump its load. At the back is a chain that leads me onto the next build. The idea is that you attach the chain to the front of the large ice block and crack it open. There is some nice snow detail as well as 2 smaller ice blocks and a polar bear. This is a small detail that measures 6X3X6cm but adds some good play value and looks good. The sled is similar to the ones in other sets measuring 5X2X16cm and being pulled by four husky dogs. The thing runs on skis, there's a crate in the middle containing tools and there's space for the minifigure at the back. The explorers base measures 13X15X17cm and looks really good. There's some space at the front to store some accessories and the base stands on stilts. The side opens to reveal a research area. There is a computer and a microscope to observe the crystals. The helicopter measures 14X13X6cm and is a pretty simple design. The cockpit opens to load a pilot and a knob on the side lowers the winch that can pick up some crates included. There is space on the back of the icebreaker to store the crates and a helipad for the helicopter. The icebreaker itself measures 42X10X18cm and looks great. Like I said, there's space at the back for the helicopter and storage which works well. The bridge looks great and, inside, there is some controls for the ship. Underneath the bridge, there is a cabin area with beds for the crew which is a nice adds detail. Finally, at the front, there is a lowering anchor and space for a snow scooter. In conclusion, all the aesthetic and play value features are flawless and I love them all. The colours are great and children will have lots of fun with this. The only problem is the price. If this was cheaper, I'd recommend this very highly but it's simply too much. If you don't worry about price, then I recommend that you get this.

LEGO® City Arctic Base Camp 60036 Review

With 735 pieces, this is the biggest of the Arctic sets. It costs $89.99 making it about 12.3 cents per piece which, for this set, I honestly don't mind. This set comes with 7 minifigures; 4 Arctic Explorers, a Pilot, a Scientist and a Research Assistant as well as a really nice polar bear. There are 5 separate elements to this set; a helicopter, a husky sled, a snow scooter, a tracked exploration vehicle and the base itself. The helicopter is small and simple measuring 15X13X7cm. It has and opening cockpit and a lowering winch to pick up the net with an ice rock inside. It looks mostly good but I don't like how low to the floor the skids are and it looks a bit comical. The husky sled is drawn by four dogs, slides on skis and measures 16X5X9cm. There is a crate in the middle, a fishing rod at the back and space for the explorer to stand. I really like the look of this build and it is simple but effective. The snow scooter is the smallest build but one of my favourites measuring 8X5X3cm. It has space for 1 minifigure and has some nice lights. The tracked exploration vehicle drives on 2 heavy-duty caterpillar tracks and has space in the cabin for a minifigure. It measures 20X11X11cm. At the back, there is a jointed, rotating drill with an operator's seat to break the ice rocks. I really like the look of this model and it works well. The main model, the base, looks great and measures 22X24X19cm. At the front, there is a conveyer belt to move the ice rocks and an area at the top to crack them open. In the area behind, the walls can open to reveal a research area. In here there are computer monitors and other details where the scientist can observe the crystal. The other room is a garage with a fold up roof to get in. There is an opening door, space for the snow scooter and some chair and table detail. In conclusion, I think this is a nice-looking set with lots of features that are all good. My only, singular worry is that the helicopter looked a bit odd. Apart from that, I would highly recommend this set.

LEGO® City Arctic Outpost 60035 Review

The Arctic Outpost costs $49.99 and comes with 374 pieces which is $10 more than I'd ideally like but the price is acceptable. It comes with 3 minifigures which are all Arctic Explorers but one has a different print and hat to the others. This set comes with lots of accessories which are a chainsaw, a grinder, a pick axe, a wrench and an ice pick. This set comes with 3 main builds; an All-Terrain Vehicle, a Truck and a Mobile Outpost. The All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) has thick rubber tyres, lights at the front and space for one minifigure. It has a chain on the back which can tow the ice block containing the crystal and measures 4X2X6cm. I don't personally think this looks very good and I wish LEGO had just stuck to the main builds and left this out. The truck, on the other hand, looks really good and measures 14X6X11cm. This has really thick tyres, spotlights and a satellite dish on top. I really like the shape of this and the roof can be removed to put a driver in the cab. In the middle of the truck there are clips for accessories and opening doors to store the crate full of other tools. At the back, there is a jointed crane to pick up the ice block. The outpost also looks really good and measures 16X9X12cm. On the outside, there is a satellite dish, a ladder and the entire thing slides on skids. It can be towed behind the truck. If you want to access the interior, the side can open to reveal some more space. Inside, there are details such as computer screens and a microscope to analyse he crystal. Overall, I really like the most part of this set. The truck and outpost are fantastic and I really like the minifigures. However, I wish there was no ATV so the set could maybe be cheaper but I suppose it's an extra. I would recommend this set.

LEGO® City Arctic Helicrane 60034 Review

The Arctic Helicrane comes with 262 pieces and costs $39.99 which is slightly overpriced and would be better at $29.99. It comes with 2 minifigures; a Pilot with a walky-talky and an Arctic Explorer with an ice pick. There is a husky-drawn sled that measures 16X4X2cm and looks really nice. The dogs the, selves have a nice mould and colouring and are attached to the sled via a tube piece. The sled has a camera and a light at the front and a crate with a scanner and a pair of snowshoes in the middle. There is space at the back for the explorer and also a radar screen. The Helicrane looks really nice with a unique design. I really like 6 rotor propellor and the engines underneath but I think the back end could do with a bit more covering up. The cockpit can be removed to reveal space to place your pilot minifigure and in here is a seat and a lever. A cog underneath the propellor lowers the winch which can pick up the crate that contains the ice rock with the gem. Overall, I think this is a nice looking set with a few good functions. I love the look of the helicrane and the sled also looks great. I would have liked an extra minifigure or it to be $10 cheaper but, apart from that, this is a great set.

LEGO® City Arctic Ice Crawler 60033 Review

The Arctic Ice Crawler costs $14.99 and comes with 113 pieces which I think is reasonable. It comes with 1 minifigure; an Arctic explorer and comes with 2 accessories; a circular saw and an ice pick. The minifigure looks good with a hood and detailed printing. The crawler, to me, looks mostly good. I like the lights, satellite dish and clips for the accessories but I'm not so keen on the clashed angles at the front and the way the tracks just stick out. The roof can be removed to place the minifigure and at the back is a jointed crane arm to pick up the ice rock with the crystal inside. Overall, I think this is a mostly good-looking set with nice features. The minifigure is good and so is the build. A nice small set.

LEGO® City Arctic Snowmobile 60032 Review

The Arctic Snowmobile is the cheapest of the Arctic sets costing $6.99. It comes with 44 pieces meaning it's about 15.9 cents per piece which doesn't matter due to the size of this set. It comes with an arctic explorer with an ice pick. I really like his hood and he's got some nice print on his torso and legs. This set is actually made up of 2 parts; a snowmobile and a sled. The snowmobile measures 8X2X2cm and looks great for the size. It slides on two skids and a smooth inverted tile. There is a nice sticker and lights and in the middle is space for a minifigure and handlebars. The sled measures 5X3X4cm and slides on some bar pieces. A chain connects the sled to the snowmobile and there is space to put the ice rock containing the crystal. Overall, I think this is a nice small set with a good minifigure. A good gift for a kid.

LEGO® City Spaceport 60080 Review

The LEGO Spaceport is the biggest of the 2015 space sets. It costs $119.99 and comes with 586 pieces making it over 20 cents per piece which is ridiculous. It should be about 60 or 70 dollars, not 120. It includes 5 minifigures which are 2 astronauts, 2 service people and a scientist. The accessories  included are a mug and a really nice printed blueprint tile. There is some nice ground detail in the form of a satellite dish and a countdown clock. These are simple but give a lot of atmosphere to the whole scene. There is also a small service car which measures 9X5X6cm and looks really nice. There are some cool shapes and this has space to hold 3 minifigures. The spaceship itself is made up of three sections, rocket boosters, a fuel tank and the shuttle, that all seperate. The boosters each measure 26X2X2cm and look simple but effective. The same goes for the fuel tank which measures 28X4X4cm. The shuttle, however, has quite a lot to it. It measures 27X19X12cm and looks really nice. I really like the wing and engine detail and the cockpit looks really good. The cockpit opens to put in the astronauts and the back folds opened to reveal a robotic arm and space for the satellite. The entire rocket sits on a mobile launchpad that measures 20X17X11cm and has a cockpit with space for a driver. It has a cool blue colour scheme and rolls on 8 wheels. In conclusion, I think this set looks really good, comes with good minifigures and is a decent build. I would recommend this if it weren't for the price. I just think this is extortionate with over twice the average price per piece.

LEGO® City Space Training Jet Transporter 60079 Review

The LEGO Training Jet Transporter comes with 448 pieces and costs $49.99 which I think is a reasonable price. It comes with three minifigures; a truck driver, a pilot and a service person. Each of these minifigures look good and they each have their own vehicle. The driver has the truck, the pilot has a jet and the service person comes with a service car. The service car measures 6X4X3cm and has a great amount of detail for the size. It has a nice grill and stickers at the front, a steering wheel, space for the driver, nice small wheels and clips either side for the 2 marshalling wands included. Even though this is small, I really like this build. The jet is also nice and it measures 21X17X8cm. This features fold-up wings for when it's being transported and an opening canopy. Inside the cockpit is space for the pilot and some nice detail. There is more nice detail all over the build such as a jet engine, cool wheels and a nice colour scheme. The truck measures 39X7X8cm and looks fantastic. It has a nice long bonnet and a great-looking front end. The roof can be removed to load in your driver and there is some nice detail on the roof such as lights and horns. The exhaust pillars look really good as do the rugged wheels. The trailer is detachable and is pretty basic apart from the slits that hold the jet in place nicely. Overall, I really like this set. It comes with three good minifigures and all of the models look fantastic. I also really like the price as this is very good value for money. I would recommend this highly.

LEGO® City Space Utility Shuttle 60078 Review

The Utility Shuttle comes with 2 Astronaut Minifigures for deep space adventure. It costs $24.99 and comes with 155 pieces making it about 16.1 cents per piece which is stupid as I think this should be priced at $20. The minifigures are good and one of them comes with a wrench although I would have liked them to be different. The shuttle itself measures 18X20X7cm and has a really nice design. The curved shapes look really nice and the fins and wings blend in well. I also really like the rear boosters as they have a nice conical shape. The cockpit opens to reveal space to put both minifigures and there is a folding part at the back to put the satellite in. The satellite itself has a nice look and I like the patterned transparent blue pieces. Overall, I think this is a good looking model with nice shapes and features but I would have liked some variety with the minifigures but I don't know what else LEGO could do so I'll let this one go. Also, I think this set is too expensive. If it were priced at $20 I would be happy but $25 is just too much.

LEGO® City Space Starter Set 60077 Review

The Space Starter Set is the smallest of the space sets. It costs $9.99 and comes with 107 pieces making it about 9.3 cents per pieces which is a good price. It comes with 4 minifigures; a scientist, an engineer and 2 astronauts. All of these minifigures look good and the set includes a wrench and a jet pack. There are four separate mini builds in this set. The first is a Mars rover buggy that measures 7X4X7cm and has space for 1 minifigure. On this, there are rugged wheels, a satellite dish, a steering wheel, a surface scanner and an infrared camera. Two other separate builds are a camera and light stand that look good and give the set some extra detail. The final build is a computer station with a monitor and some other gadgets. This measures 4X2X4cm and looks really good. Overall, I think this is a good value, good looking set. It has 4 solid minifigures and some nice detail. A good way to start a collection.

LEGO® City Deep Sea Exploration Vessel 60095 Review

Costing $119.99, the Deep Sea Exploration Vessel is the most expensive deep sea set. However, it doesn't have the most pieces as it only has 717 making it about 16.7 cents per piece which is far too expensive. It comes with 2 large builds and three smaller ones as well as a variety of figures. The minifigures included are 4 scuba divers, 2 crew member and a deep sea diver and the accessories included are a walky-talky, a welder, a life preserver, 2 mugs, 2 boxes and 16 gold bars. There is also 2 grey sharks, a white shark, a swordfish and an octopus included. One of the mini builds is a remote sub that measures 5X2X9cm and has a single arm and an aerial. I thing this doesn't look very good and has a bit of a weird design. Another small build is a scuba scooter with spinning propellers, lights and clips for a crowbar. It measures 9X4X3cm and looks really good. The final of the mini builds is a  submarine that has an opening canopy, spinning propellers, jointed arms and space for a minifigure. This looks nice except for the fact the shape of the roof doesn't really match the shape of the windscreen. One of the larger builds is a shipwreck that is covered in seaweed. It looks really nice and measures 28X15X13cm. There is some space in the middle to put the crates and the gold bricks on the side can be pulled out to collapse the bridge of the ship. I think this is a nice size with nice features and good looks. The final, main build is the vessel itself. It has a unique shaped blue hull and measures 31X18X19cm. It has some good looking buoys that hang from the sides and some nice looking engine detail. Inside the bridge is some nice detail and under the bridge is a cabin area with beds and tables. At the front there is space for the life boat that measures 7X5X3cm and looks really nice, at the back, there is a crane to lower the shark cage at the back. This measures 5X3X8cm and has an opening front to allow you to put a minifigure in. In conclusion, I think the big builds of this set are absolutely fantastic and look great but the smaller ones need a bit of work. The minifigures are good but the price is far too high. For that reason, I would recommend buying the Deep Sea Operations base as it's cheaper but has more pieces.

LEGO® City Deep Sea Operations Base 60096 Review

The Deep Sea Operations base costs $99.99 and comes with 907 pieces making it about 11 cents per piece which is a pretty fair price. It comes with 5 minifigures; a Deep Sea Diver, a Scuba Diver, a Pilot and 2 Deep Sea Explorers. The accessories area treasure chest with treasure, a crowbar and a fire extinguisher. There are 5 separate builds, some smaller than others, that all look good. First of all, there is an underwater cove covered in seaweed. The idea is that you put the treasure chest I see and use the crowbar to bust it open. I like the look of this and the way it works. The next build is a small flatbed submarine to transport the treasure and other things. It measures 9X8X3cm and includes spinning propellers, a handle and a spare oxygen tank. Another build is a research submarine with spinning propellers, two arms and spotlights that measures 10X9X7cm. The cockpit opens for space to put one of the Deep Sea Explorers. This is generally good but I think the arms and hands look a bit odd and awkward. A bit of a bigger build is a seaplane 32X33X11cm. It has a nice blue, yellow and grey colour scheme which looks really nice. The cockpit comes off so you can put your pilot in and there is a storage compartment in the back. The curved wings each have a propellor and lights. I like the overall look of this and it is a nice addition to the set. The final, biggest build is the actual base that measures 19X24X18cm. It has opening windows and some nice interior detail. At the back there is a loading bay with a moving crane to pick up the submarine. There is some nice detail with this and it looks really nice. Overall, I think this is a good set at a decent price. It has a lot of nice, different features and some good minifigures. I like all the builds except for the submarine which, to me, looks a bit weird. However, this is probably the best value deep sea set and pretty good.

LEGO® City Deep Sea Helicopter 60093 Review

The LEGO Deep Sea Helicopter costs $49.99 and comes with 388 pieces which is, yet again, far too expensive in my opinion. I think it would be better priced at $39.99. This set comes with three minifigures; a Scuba Diver, a Submariner and a Helicopter Pilot. The accessories included are a walky-talky, a shark, a treasure chest as well as some treasure to go in it. The submarine build measures 12X10X6cm and looks pretty good. I like the propellers and lights but I don't like the claws on the arms as they're ugly and not very useful. There is an opening cockpit to fit in the submariner. The helicopter measures 24X8X12cm and looks really good from the outside. The twin-rotor design looks really nice and I like the engine detail. I really like the cockpit and window pieces. The cockpit comes off to put in your pilot where there is a console piece. However, I don't think the colours look good inside as they clash massively. The doors just behind he cockpit open to place the treasure that the submarine has just picked up. Finally, a cog on the side operates a winch that can pick up the submarine. In conclusion, I think this set has a lot of potential but needs a bit of work. I love everything except for the submarine arms, the helicopter interior and the price.

LEGO® City Deep Sea Submarine 60092 Review

The Deep Sea Submarine costs $39.99 and comes with 274 pieces making it about 14.6 cents per piece which is too expensive. I think LEGO should have priced it at $30 dollars as it is still more than 10 cents per piece but is more reasonable. It includes 3 minifigures; 2 scuba divers and a submarine driver as well as a shark with an opening mouth. The accessories included are 2 subs masks, 2 oxygen tanks, 2 pairs of flippers, a camera and a crowbar. There are two seperate builds with this set; a submarine and the whale rib cage area. The submarine looks really nice with 2 ballast tanks, 2 adjustable thrusters and 2 arms and measures 19X11X9cm. One of these arms has a claw and one with a searchlight and both are jointed. The cockpit opens to reveal space for the submariner where there's two levers. As well as these big details, there are some nice small ones like lights on the top and bottom, fins and storage compartments. The scenery area looks really nice. The whale rib cage is hinged to a rocky area covered in seaweed. When the bones are lifted, they reveal a treasure chest that has treasure included. Overall, I think this set is really nice looking with a good amount of detail. The minifigures and play value are nice but I can't help but think of that price. If it weren't for that, this would be one of my favourite sets.

LEGO® City Deep Sea Starter Set 60091 Review

I like all of the starter sets but this is one of my favourites. It costs $9.99 and comes with 90 pieces making it about 11 cents per piece. This set comes with 3 minifigures; a male scuba diver with a remote control, a female scuba diver with a camera and a deep sea diver with a crowbar. I like the print for all of these minifigures and they all have nice accessories and equipment. There are 3 mini-elements to this set. The first is a LEGO shark which looks good and has an opening mouth to simulate him biting things. The second is a remote submarine which measures 8X7X4cm and looks really nice. It has two spinning propellers, 2 jointed arms and a light as well as a sort of camera in the front. The final feature is a small crate covered in seaweed that is intended to store the treasure. The idea is that you use the sub and minifigures to clear the seaweed and get at the treasure and I like the fact kids can make up their own story. In conclusion, I really like this starter set. It comes with three solid minifigures and some good looking builds but also has a fair amount of play-ability. A nice way to start off a city collection.

LEGO® City Deep Sea Scuba Scooter 60090 Review

The Deep Sea Scuba Scooter is the smallest of the deep sea sets. It costs $6.99 and comes with 42 pieces making it about 16.6 cents per piece. I personally think this is too much and that it would be better at $5. This set includes 1 minifigure; a Scuba Diver that has a nice mask, breathing tube and printing. There are three separate elements to this set; a weed, an octopus and the scuba scooter. The weed is only made of 2 pieces but gives a nice effect. The octopus is a nice mould with 2 neon eyes and has space to hold one of the gems. The scuba scooter, the main event, measures 7X6X3cm and looks nice for its size. There are 2 spinning propellers at the back, 2 harpoons on the sides and 2 arms to grab the gem off the octopus. Overall, I think this is a nice small set that looks good and has some nice features. However, I think it would be better priced at $5 but $2 isn't too much of an issue and I'll let this one slip. Apart from that, a well-rounded set.

LEGO® Bionicle Protector of Fire 70783 Review

The Protector of Fire costs $9.99, comes with 69 pieces and stand over 15cm tall. He has an orange and grey colour scheme that gives him a fiery look. He looks pretty good with nice torso detail. He is armed with flame swords which look okay but I wish they were straight instead of going off at a different level. He has a rapid-fire stud shooter above his left shoulder which is operated by a cog behind it. He wears a nice two-tone mask that has the same pop-off function as all the other Bionicle figures do. Finally, this set comes with a pale green skull spider. Overall, I think this is a cool looking set. It is okay value, has nice functions and has a nice colour scheme. However, I think the weapons could look better and I personally think, for the same price, you should get the Protector of Earth as he just looks great.

LEGO® Bionicle Protector of Ice 70782 Review

The Protector of Ice costs $9.99, stands over 15cm tall and comes with 68 pieces. He has a nice black, blue and white colour scheme and a pretty good design. I like his two-tone helmet with the pop-off function and the body looks pretty good. However, I'm not so fond of the weapons. The ice saw would have looked good if it weren't for the bright yellow piece behind it. I don't know why LEGO didn't just make this black so it blended in with the rest of the set. The other weapon, an Elemental Ice Blaster, doesn't look as bad but I think the design looks a bit awkward. However, it does come with a rapid-fire stud shooter and a silver skull spider. Overall, I think that this set looks pretty good but the weapons could do with a bit of work. I would personally recommend buying the Protector of Earth as it looks a lot better.

LEGO® Bionicle Protector of Earth 70781 Review

The Protector of Earth costs $9.99 and comes with 66 pieces. When built, the Protector of Earth measures over 13cm tall. He has a really nice black and purple colour scheme and a really cool design. The stud shooter in his torso surprisingly blends in to the overall appearance and is operated by a cog on his back. I really like the rocky shoulder pads and helmet design that can pop off like the rest of the Bionicle sets. He is armed with a 'Star Drill' that just looks like a morning star and a small dagger. Finally, this set comes with a pale green  Overall, I think this is one of the, if not the best $10 Bionicle set with nice detail, weapons and overall design. A great set.

LEGO® Bionicle Protector of Water 70780 Review

The Protector of Water costs $9.99, stands over 14cm tall and comes with 71 pieces. He has a unique design with the two jets on his shoulders and the blue and grey colour scheme. I really like this mask with the pop-off function and the two-tone colour scheme. He is armed with an Elemental Torpedo Blaster with a rapid-fire stud shooter but I feel this weapon looks a bit weird. Finally, as well as the figure, this comes with a silver skull spider. In conclusion, I think this is a unique set and one that's good for only $10. However, I wish the weapon looked a bit better but it's not awful. A pretty good model.

LEGO® Bionicle Protector of Stone 70779 Review

The Protector of Stone stands over 15cm tall, costs $9.99 and comes with 73 pieces. He has a cool brown, yellow and grey colour scheme and looks generally good but I think his limbs are a bit thick and clumsy. He is armed with an Elemental Sandstorm Blaster that as 2 cool blades and a rapid-fire stud shooter. The mask is pretty cool with the two tone design, blue eyes and pop-off function. As well as the figure, this set comes with a dark blue skull spider. Overall, I think this is a nice $10 set that looks good and has nice functions. I think the bodywork needs a little work but, apart from that, I like this set.

LEGO® Bionicle Protector of Jungle 70788 Review

Protector of Jungle is almost like the smaller, cheaper version of Lewa. However, this does not mean he's worse. He costs $9.99, comes with 70 pieces and stands over 15cm tall. He is armed with an Air Elemental Flame bow that has an integrated rapid-fire stud shooter operated by a cog. He has a really nice design and a cool green, yellow and grey colour scheme. His mask looks really nice with the two different shades of green and includes the pop-off function. Finally, he comes with a dark blue skull spider. Overall, I think this is a nice small set for $10 and has a nice looking design. Also, for the price, he has a good amount of function. A great present for a friend or even yourself.
