LEGO® City Demolition Site 60076 Review

The Demolition Site is the biggest of the demolition sets coming with 776 pieces and costing $89.99. This makes it about 11.6 cents per piece which isn't far off but would be better at $79.99. It comes with 5 demolition worker minifigures and the accessories are a pickaxe, a shovel, a saw, a jackhammer, a sign, a wheelbarrow, a rat, ear protectors and 2 sticks of dynamite. There are 4 main builds to this set; a wrecking ball crane, a front loader, a dump truck and a derelict house. The crane measures 21X11X29cm and has a lowering wrecking ball. The crane arm adjusts and the entire thing drives on caterpillar tracks. There's space for a minifigure in the cab and I really like the look of the entire thing. The front loader measures 19X7X9cm and can steer. The front bucket can lift and lower to pick up rubble and there's space in the cab for a minifigure. This too looks great with thick tyres and nice wheel arches. The dump truck also has steering and the back tips up to deposit the load. There's space in the cab for a minifigure and some lights at the front. This doesn't look as good but still looks okay. The row of houses has some nice exterior such as a bin and broken bricks. There's a nice door and windows which make it look like houses. Inside, there's some more nice detail such as a broken toilet. The walls are loosely attached to the base which means they can be broken down with the wrecking ball and the walls at the left can be broken by pressing a lever at the other end. In conclusion, I think this is a really strong set with various nice details. I like all the minifigures and vehicles and there are lots of play features. My only fault would be the price but it's all about what you pure willing to pay and I would pay this.
